The 2nd Extraction. And More.

I got a big compliment this morning at the dentist! =)

Nurse: (talking to my Mom) Your daughter is very brave for coming back exactly 1 month later for her second extraction.
Mom: (smiles) Ya, she wants to get it over and done with.
Nurse: You know ah, some men find out that local anesthetic cannot remove two at once and they'll only do the first. After which you'll never see them ever again. Your girl is really very brave.

I went for my second wisdom tooth operation this morning, and am off work the whole week till Saturday! The operation was successful, of course thanks to the ever-so-gentle Dr Tan. But this time round the hole where my wisdom tooth once laid was deeper, I guess cause the root was more in depth? Thus when the anesthetic wore off, I was totally suffering from an excruciating throbbing pain in my mouth. It hurt so much I just wanted to overdose on pain killerz, or if I could, I would have just sawed off the left side of my jaw! It feels much better now, and it's back to soluble food for the next few days. Hopefully this will be the last in a long time since I'll visit the dentist other than to remove the stitches 10 days later. I'm still considering braces probably next year though. I can imagine, that will be one helluva painful roller coaster ride itself too.

My last proper meal not including this morning's hotcakes & big breakfast at Macs, was at Tamako, a mini Japanese restaurant that serves home cooked Japanese cuisines at Casuarina. They are famous for their Curry Katsu and uniquely, the eel sushi & hand roll were served warm, not cold like the normal. The Chawanmusi & fried Toufu were served pipping hot too, my two must-haves favorites! To our disappointment, the Salmon Sashimi wasn't that fresh but I do give the overall production of food & service 4/5. A Japanese homely restaurant in the middle of the Pierce reservoir surrounded by Prata shops, now that's something new!

On my off day last Tuesday, Dear and I plus some of his friends caught the movie Brüno after a heavy 'zhi char' dinner at Balestier. Lets just say that the movie was more gay than Broad back Mountain & funnier than Borat, although I've not watched either of the movies but I'm believing that it is. It's like watching a 1 hour and a half episode of Punk'd, where the people/celebrities are clueless that they're being filmed to make a movie. That night, I left the movie theater feeling a tad disturbed by the gay nudity scenes. His discriminating jokes are really quite funny I've gotta admit, so that's why I'm following him on Twitter. Haha. At least during the boring days spent at this brainless job, I will be able to self entertain.

Speaking of which, Jovene and I have have also enjoyed the FML website~ http://www.fmylife.com (thanks to Wifey for the recommendation) It has really helped add a little more laughter in my daily life. And yes if you're still wondering, work still remains politically fun watching the drama within colleagues and in the mall, gossipping about the supervisor etc. But my favorite and only advantage of this job has gotta be making friends with the shop tenants. I purchased a super 'blinged' out watch from Lafon under $20, all thanks to the girl I made friends with who worked there. Hehe. Loving the benefits of the job :)

To start off an early weekend, Dear and I together with some of the members of ACS drove up to JB last Friday morning to modify their cars. We left the cars at Ultra Racing & HiFonic and had brunch at The Tea Garden. I was so sleepy (darling said I was 'lem beh') that I dozed off in twice in the car, on the way to the garage and at the garage while waiting for them to be done. Rocky had his Rear Strut Bar & an Anti Roll bar installed that day, it's suppose to be for better cornering. I hope it's not placebo that Darling & I think that the sharp cornering feels steadier & better now.

Anyway, while at the garage, one of the ACS members who is quite an ah beng realized I was getting bored and starting talking to me. It was quite funny and random. So he started the conversation by asking why I allowed Keong to 'zeng'(mod) his car.
I told him as long as it's not 'beng' and that expensive, I'll approve. Randomly, he said this to me (in Mandarin),
"There are 3 things guys often do that girls don't fancy.
1. Flirt with other girls., 2. Gamble & Drink., 3. Modify their cars.
So as for Keong, you should be thankful that he does not do the first two "

I would like to add a 4th one. Does LAN gaming & XBOX-ing count?

So because there were about 10 cars and most of them were quite last minute in deciding whether or not to install different parts to their cars, we ended up waiting on them till dinner time. We had dinner at the Tea Garden AGAIN, after which we took a slow drive back into Singapore. Lucky for us, there was NO jam at the customs so we headed back home feeling sleepy & lethargic after spending the entire day in JB practically waiting and waiting and waiting. Hmph!

I've just finished watching Miss Universe on Channel 5 and Ms Venezuela won again! I really do envy the winners & runner ups, not because they get to be famous but because of the prizes that they win! I wanna go to the Atlantis Paradise Inn at the Bahamas one day. It'll make a great Honeymoon place! And oh by the way, Miss Malaysia & Miss Singapore 2009 appeared quite pretty compared to some other years, but somehow you can still spot that "ah lian" in them. Hmm. Maybe it was just the make up or was it the outfits? Go check it out online!

Well, I've realized that ever since many of us have Twitter, we rarely blog. Or rather me, I've preferred short posts rather than a longgg blog posts. Bloggers, What do you prefer?

Off to snuggle up in my couch & face the TV for the entire night, while I wait to take my medicines again. Have a great week ahead & Sleep Well!
