Last Friday - A day spent with my Grandparents.
After lunching with Mother at Hougang (oh the Pontian Wan Ton Mee is shiok!) we decided to visit my grandparents for Tea. After spending the entire afternoon there, I learnt that it's really important to take care of your health when you're young because you'll experience all types of illness when you get old. My Grandpa is 83 this year and I could see him suffering as he walks or talks, but he's still sharp with a good memory. My Grandma is 79 this year and she still goes out with her sisters 'jalan jalan' and is still strong. This is because she didn't smoke nor drink when she was younger. Well, bottom line is for both my Grandparents to still be living till their 70s and 80s, they certainly have LONG LIFE! To end that Friday night, dinner was at the Hong Kong cafe @ East Coast with my Dear & some of his friends before heading to the Pad*.
*Pad: The word my dear and his friends use to describe a friend's house in Lentor Dr, where everybody meets to play poker, drink and be Merry!
On Saturday, I wanted to get a last minute gift for Daddy's birthday but because of the overwhelming amount of people at town that day, I decided to leave after browsing through Wisma & Taka. Instead we had dinner with Dear & his friends at Sunset Grill & Bar. The highlight of the night was trying to finish the plate of Level 10 chicken wings. What a memorable moment when I teared after finishing up one wing, my Dear couldn't finish his though, half way through he was already gulping down glasses of water. No doubt it's damn spicy but shiok, the aftermath is just torturing. Wonder what Level 20 is like~!
With red and swelling lips, I joined my ex colleagues after at Bishan's beer garden for a few hours of prawning. The amount they paid compared to the amount of prawns caught, tsk tsk. Not that worth it at all can. $90 for 3 hours and only 12 prawns caught. Haha. Also, I found out that politics back at Cali are still occurring. Phew, how am I glad that I'm out of it all! Poker Night with at the Pad with Dear and his friends and I fell asleep in the car on the way back which was about 3 in the morn.
Happy Birthday to Daddy the next day, 12/07/09!
Dinner was at Azur, Crowne Plaza Hotel, T3. Mommy knew practically everyone there, from the chefs to the managers so we got great service! Towards the end of dinner, the crew came over to sing a birthday song to Daddy & presenting him with a homemade chocolate mousse cake! Oh, SEDAP! Although we all knew he was quite embarrassed, my Daddy played a good sport & joined in the singing as well. :)
Not forgetting to mention that dinner was great, although they could have improved on the Asian cuisines. Daddy & Darling loved the oysters and other fresh seafoods. Well I enjoyed my tempura spread & the desserts spread! Totally felt that glutton-ish that night, but it was all worth it!
The next day which was just yesterday, I had my wisdom tooth extraction. My last proper meal was Macdonald's big breakfast & hotcakes, never did I know that was the last in quite some time that I could chew properly. I shall not share with you every detail of the surgery as I myself had my eyes shut during the entire procedure. Also, after getting the anesthetic I couldn't feel the entire right side of my face, from my ear to my cheeks to my jaws! After an hour of drilling, cutting & tugging on my gums, the tooth was finally extracted in 3 different parts. The dentist said that it was a huge tooth. I never thought that something so big was growing in my mouth. Haha. After the surgery, my face was still numb serveral hours after, which was good too, so I couldn't feel the pain. Only towards evening yesterday, the pain struck as the anethestic slowly wore off. Amazingly, the pain was bearable to me. I could still have my liqufied dinner & the leftovers of the mousse cake for dessert! :)
My duty now is to keep it clean, and take my daily dosage of antibiotics & pain killers. All food definitely have to be soluble before I consume it for the next few days. Speaking of which, I just had oats for breakfast. Foods like nestum, yogurt & ice cream (oh especially cold stuff) should increase the healing process.
Does having taking out your wisdom tooth mean that you're getting wiser? It's a myth rather than a fact I believe. This myth has existed from my parents generation and it was known to men if one had a wisdom tooth, they have more wisdom than others making them gain more knowledge as they grow older. It is also believed to be a sign of maturity and become finally becoming a man/woman. I think it's just a saying or believe, to me, I think after having extracting this big tooth, I am sure damn brave to have go through it all! :D
Before I go, I wanna share with you guys something gross happened yesterday too.
I received a sick and insulting SMS last night from the number 93604019. Apparently after checking all 3 telcos, I do not know yet who is the user of this number as it is a prepaid card. This bloody timid sex maniac ass had the courage to message me some sick sex messages and did not have the courage to pick up his/her phone. I did reply these disturbing messges trying to play the reverse phsycology game on this person but he/she just continued replying more sexually asked questions. This 'eat full full got nothing to do' sick bastard knows my name as the first text read 'Hi Cass.' This incident has just got me thinking about who I've offended lately but I do have this gut feeling that it is a female who is trying to play a nasty prank on me. This fucker just got nothing better to do, well he/she kinda messed around with the WRONG PERSON!
