The Visit to the Dentist went well yesterday. Dr Tan is so much nicer than that jack ass dentist I went to on Monday. My operation date will be on the 13th of July, Monday at 11am. I'll be going under a local anesthetic and doing the surgery one tooth at a time, starting with the infected one which is on the right side. I opted for the surgery to be on Monday so at least I can enjoy Daddy's birthday hi tea on Sunday. Since the surgery will be done one tooth at a time, I'm afraid for the next month or so, I'll more or less be on liquidized food. Yuck!
Lately, my family and I have been on a durian CRAZE! The 'pasarmalam' or night market near my place have tempt my parents to buy durians home almost every night. Luckily the only person who dislike durians at home is my sister and she hasn't been home lately. We're smart enough to get rid of all the evidence (durians seeds and shells) before she gets back, but somehow the smell still lingers on. So when she asks if we had durians, we deny and blame it on the neighbors. Hahaha.
I really envy those who get the chance to go abroad to study but if given a chance, I still wouldn't go alone as I know I'll be homesick, even if it's just like a few months. Unless you're talking about a holiday or a getaway, then that's a different story. So last week, the Sisters of Destruction (SOD- I still don't know why they call us that) sent Barry Chan off to Switzerland at Changi Airport t3 at 0000 hrs. He'll be away for 2 years as he completes his degree, we're gonna miss his crappy jokes damn right. We saw many of his female drama classmates crying before leaving their boyfriends or family, and that was what made me think twice about ever leaving the country to study.
After only getting less that 6 hours of sleep last Thursday night, Friday was a hectic & tiring day for the Tengs and I as it was their wedding photo shoot day!
I remembered I woke up at 630am afraid that I would be late, and got into bed at 1030pm that night. What a longgg day it was. In the morning till early afternoon, my job was to dog sit the naughty and kaypo dog, Mr Copper Teng. He reminded me of the little kids at photo shoots where you have to call their names so they would look in your direction. Then helping the bride wear & take off her gowns caused me a slight back and armit ache, so luckily the make up artist could help us. During the studio shoots, I had fun taking candid pictures of them so there'll be extra pictures for the video montage. Had fun seeing the two get dressed and all made up, posing for the camera. Not forgetting touring around Singapore to the different outdoor sceneries in the super fast i-almost-got-motion-sickness car to get take their outdoor pictures. Went to places I've never been to like Jalan Bahar & the old oldd house at Mt. Sophia.
It's actually the first time I've helped out in pre-wedding photo shoots. Not counting my sisters because hers was just photography on the wedding day itself kinda thing. Something different and I have to add that Pam & Ed were so flexible/natural looking that it made them seem like pros already. (or maybe they were too nua and tired that made their smile and positions so relaxed. hm?. lol) I can't wait for the real day to arrive where both Pam and I agree that we have to have enough rest the day before so we'll be able to last the entire night. :)
