What else is there to do in Singapore than to Eat, Shop & Sleep right? Haha. Might sound familiar to some.
Well, for me, I've seriously been on an eating frenzy from last week. It all started with last Thursday's night dinner. Instead of picnic-king that weekend, my Family and I had a 'yummilicious' Seafood dinner at Seafood Paradise (Defu Lane). I remember wanting to book the outlet at the Singapore Flyer for Chinese New Year last year, but it was fully booked! My three on the menu that night was: Butter Cream Steamed Crabs, Drunken Prawns & Black Pepper pork ribs. Slurp! Just talking about it makes my mouth water again. Our pre-father's day dinner Round 1 was completed that night :)
Friday marked the FINALE of Dear's Exams and I couldn't wait till I saw him after his last paper! I was around town area for an appointment with Pan Pacific hotel in the afternoon. Then luckily Wifey caught me in time as I was shopping, and reminded me about the dinner with the rest of the bridesmaid that night. We met up around evening and spent the time before dinner gossiping at Startbucks. (hehehe) I would say that we were also preparing/resting our poor tired feet (on heels may I add), to walk up Mount Sophia's steps to Old School Timbre. If I didn't count wrongly, there were NINE flights of steps. I swear, Pam & I concluded that we were totally OUT OF SHAPE! LACKED OF EXERCISE!!!
We had a minor seizure come heart attack because we tried to catch our breathes when we reached the top of the hill. Half an hour through the wait to get seated and my heart was still throbbing hard! Seriously, we're getting older every second... Tsk Tsk. LOL. So, present at dinner were 4 brides maids + the bride and we managed to discuss some of the wedding procedures over beer and pizza. I've become quite excited now that the date is drawing nearer and nearer! However, talking it out with the rest of the girl and laying everything that needs to be done before the actual day just makes us think how much more we still have to get done!
After dinner, I finally got to see my Darling!! Aww, how much I missed him! Poor bay-bee, looked so tired but relieve in a way. ;) Well anyway, the night ended with Club Avante's Meet up and Supper at Hougang's Prata house. The night didn't grow any much younger and we were home sweet home by 3am.
HE is still a little boy at heart I tell you! He dug up his Xbox games such as Midnight Club, and started to play, while I watched and admire how he concentrates and races like a 'mungen', thinking that if he drove like that in real life I would have to have 9 lives! He got the new Xbox game (that I kinda like & find interesting too): Resident Evil. The graphics were kinda gruesome how you kill the zombies and get attacked. But I liked it because there was this other character that followed him around, its a She and she's suppose to 'cover' his back. It's just hilarious when they work together. So it's not all about the fighting and blood, there's a mission to accomplish too. Still, I can't wait till we do get Wii and COOKING MAMA, now that's what I call gaming. LOL.
Also, an interesting movie we caught over the weekend-- The Taking of Pelham 123 at DTE on Saturday night. It's a thriller kinda movie and for the record, John Travolta IS a good actor, just that he's a lot fatter & older now. An overall good movie, 2 thumbs up! Hey, at least I didn't fall asleep this time. :) Next up on the list is Transformers 3, that actually opens today if I'm not wrong.
Well moving on, Father's Day was spent at Dear's place and once again, the eating frenzy continued-- Home made Steamboat & Hot plate BBQ. A wide spread of food that left my tummy feeling very satisfied! Not forgetting the durian cake for dessert too. I couldn't believe that the next day, we had Steamboat at my place AGAIN! My Chef Dad decided to cook steamboat and invited us back for dinner on Monday night --Father's Day dinner Round 2. So there we were again, having steamboat 2 nights in a ROW. Of course, on the second night, we didn't have the Hot plate so I guess it was quite a hearty healthy meal after all.
There were so much for Dear & I to catch up on and 3 days were just not enough. I'm usually the talker that complains and talks about the absolutely random-ness things, while he just listens to me go on and on. Which I think it sometimes complements our relationship in a good way that is. :)
After a whole day of domesticating the house yesterday, I'm planning on relaxing and TV-ing the entire day, it's the perfect weather to nua at home. Cloudy~ for the first in a very longgg time.
Ta-Ta! :D
